The case for action

Why AI strategy matters now

The market is moving fast. Organizations that wait for perfect conditions will fall behind. But technology alone is not the answer.

95%

of government organizations have not implemented AI at scale

29%

CAGR in the Dutch AI consulting market through 2027

#1

barrier is behavioral & organizational, not technical

Strategy before technology. The organizations that succeed with AI start with clear choices — not just tools.

From ambition to action

Where is DTNext on the AI maturity curve — and where do you want to be in 12 months?

Level 1
Exploring
Aware of AI, no structured approach. Individual experiments, no policy.
Level 2
Experimenting
Piloting Copilot with select users. Limited governance and measurement.
Where are you?
Level 3
Scaling
Structured rollout across the organization. Governance and KPIs in place.
Where do you want to be?
Level 4
Transforming
AI embedded in operations. Continuous optimization, agent ecosystem, competitive advantage.

EU AI Act

The EU AI Act is here

The world's first comprehensive AI regulation is already partially in force. Here is what matters for DTNext and your clients.

February 2025 In force

Prohibited AI practices banned + AI literacy obligation required for all deployers

August 2025 In force

General-purpose AI obligations + penalty framework active

August 2026 4 months away

High-risk AI system requirements become enforceable

August 2027 Future

Full compliance deadline — all provisions enforceable

AI literacy and prohibited practices are already law. Non-compliance fines up to 7% of global turnover or EUR 35 million, whichever is higher. As a Microsoft partner serving enterprise clients, DTNext must understand these obligations — both for your own operations and for your customers.
EU AI Act

Not all AI is equal

The EU AI Act classifies AI systems by risk level. The same technology can fall into different categories depending on how it is used.

Prohibited
Social scoring, manipulation, workplace emotion recognition
High risk
HR decisions, credit scoring, public services, critical infrastructure
Limited risk
Chatbots, content generation — most Copilot productivity use cases
Minimal risk
Autocomplete, spam filtering, basic recommendations
Risk follows the use case, not the technology
The same Copilot Studio agent can be minimal risk or high risk depending on its purpose. HR screening = high risk. IT helpdesk = limited risk. Classification depends on what decisions the AI influences.
AI policy framework
